As at 1.30pm today the Fernhill Reservoir was at 80% capacity. Both of the 2 Mile pumps have been operating since 6.15pm last evening.
There is no question that water conservation by businesses and residents in the affected area greatly contributed to the replenishing of the supply after pump failure yesterday morning.
I can now advise that there is no longer a requirement to urgently conserve water. On behalf of the Council we would like to extend an enormous vote of thanks to everyone that contributed to this successful outcome.
