Operation ROA - Update

Shaun Timothy Skilling has been charged with the murder of Gaynor Alice White. Skilling will appear on this charge in the Christchurch District Court on Wednesday 23 February 2010.

Acting Detective Inspector David Long acknowledges the support from the public to the investigation into Gaynor White's death. Information from the public and persons who know Skilling has assisted in the relatively quick progress made on the inquiry.

Despite the murder charge having now been laid, a large number of police officers continue to work on the inquiry collecting and analysing evidence.

Police ask that any person who may have information that may assist the investigation, who have not already come forward, to make contact with Police as soon as possible.

The scene examination at Mrs White's home is expected to be completed in the next couple of days.
