Pit Stop, New Zealand’s largest chain of franchised automotive service outlets, has become the first company to join Fly Buys in 2010, managing company Loyalty New Zealand announced today.

With hundreds of thousands customers around New Zealand, and more than 50 outlets, Pit Stop has a multimillion dollar turnover, and has grown from a single shop in 1978.

Loyalty New Zealand CEO Andy Symons says, “With Pit Stop joining Fly Buys, we can now offer Members even more places for car owners to collect Fly Buys Points. We’re thrilled to have them on board and further strengthen our presence in the automotive category. The strength of the programme offers significant benefits for our Partner retailers.

“In today’s competitive retail environment, increasing numbers of retailers are investing in loyalty programmes to differentiate themselves and add value to their services. The popularity of Fly Buys offers our Partner companies a unique advantage, enabling them to reward existing customers and attract new ones.”

Chris Ring, Managing Director from Pit Stop says, “We’re excited to be the newest member of the programme. Before Easter it’s important to check your car out, so why not book in for a free safety check and report before you zoom off for the long weekend. If you get your brakes fixed at Pit Stop you’ll collect 5 Bonus Points on your brake repairs before the 30th April 2010.”

Fly Buys, established in 1996, has experienced exponential growth, which shows no signs of slowing. In the past year 14 companies have joined Fly Buys. The programme now has 54 Partner retailers, including some of New Zealand’s most well known brands like Shell, BNZ and New World. Fly Buys has more than 2.2 million card holders. 750,000 rewards went to Kiwi households in 2009.

Car lovers can also redeem their Fly Buys Points for a wide range of motoring rewards, from TomTom Navigation Units, to scale models of high performance cars. You can also collect Fly Buys Points at automotive Partners Avis, Beaurepaires, Dunlop, Goodyear, Orica, Shell, VTNZ and on your car insurance at State.

For every $20 spent at Pit Stop you’ll collect 1 Fly Buys Point (excluding warrants of fitness).
