Property and business valuations team continues rapid expansion

Property and business valuations services in the capital are continuing to grow strongly – with leading real estate agency Bayleys adding another senior member to its Wellington team.

Highly experienced property valuation expert Chris Orchard is the latest addition to join the quickly growing group. In February, Bayleys appointed senior business valuations specialists John Freeman and Paul Butchers to the Wellington office of its property and asset valuations group.

Chris Orchard has more than 30 years experience in property valuations - in both the public and private sectors. Before joining Bayleys, he was manager for Darroch Valuation’s Wellington branch. At Bayleys, Chris Orchard will oversee market valuations, rental reviews, and insurance valuations – predominantly in the Wellington region, but also servicing some clients on a national basis.
Bayleys Real Estate managing director Mike Bayley said the addition of Chris Orchard alongside John Freeman and Paul Butchers reflected a growing emphasis on delivering the broadest possible suite of professional property services – not only in the Wellington region, but across the country.

“The valuations group will operate totally independently of the sales and leasing teams. It’s important this degree of separation is transparent and impartial, as the information and data generated from a valuation report could be used by any number of parties involved in a property transaction – the buyer, the seller, the tenant or the lender,” Mr Bayley said.
