Are you interested in learning about gardening on the fringe?

Next weekend’s Taranaki Daily News Home and Lifestyle Expo will feature a Living Landscapes area presented by the Taranaki Fringe Garden Festival.

“We had requests from the public last year for more landscaping ideas, so this year the Taranaki Fringe Garden Festival is showing a great mix of edible gardens, organics, and gardens large, small, personal and grand,” says Manager Events Melissa Devine-Collins.

“There will also be garden art such as totem poles, concrete sculptures, water features and specialist outdoor pieces – and there will even be delicious tasty garden treats available.

“By popular demand we’re also bringing back passionate local gardening guru Michael Self, who’ll be sharing tips and ideas for people of all ages and gardening abilities.”

The Taranaki Daily News Home and Lifestyle Expo is on from 9 to 11 April at TSB Stadium.

Everyone who visits this year’s expo will have the chance to win a family holiday for four to Vanuatu for seven nights.

More than 100 exhibitors will be at the expo, covering all types of products and services for the home and for lifestyle opportunities. The event features the specialty areas of the Fabulous Food Court, and Lifestyle Outdoors.

“The expo is a great opportunity for people to learn from the expertise of local and national businesses in a variety of fields,” says Mrs Devine-Collins.

An online feedback form has been set up on this website for people to ask questions about energy savings around the home, leaky homes problems and building consents, and home budgeting. The most common themes among these questions will be answered by experts during the expo.

The expo is open from 1pm-5pm on Friday 9 April, and from 10am-5pm on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 April. Prices are adults $5, senior citizens $2, children free.
