Crash - Waiheke Island

Police attended a one vehicle crash in Te Whau Drive in Waiheke Island last night.

This vehicle, occupied by two males, was travelling along Te Whau which is a gravel road when it slid off to the side of the road and hit a tree.

The driver, a male Maori aged 56 is now deceased.

The other occupant aged 16 years suffered moderate injuries.

Police SCU are investigating assisted by local staff.
