A new course, based on an international standard of intelligence training, has been launched in New Zealand for the first time. The Anacapa standard of intelligence training has been adopted around the world as setting the benchmark in analytical techniques to raise the capabilities of analysts in both commercial companies and law enforcement agencies.

Today, Global Intelligence Solutions (GIS) announces the launch of the Anacapa - Analytical Investigation Methods (AIM) course in New Zealand.

The course emphasis is on developing analytical thinking, a skill that is not exclusive to any specific intelligence discipline. These techniques are just as relevant in the commercial realm such as Insurance and Banking companies as they are with the police and private investigators.

“The course is aimed at investigators and analysts that require a sound practical knowledge of the critical analytical techniques used in the resolution of complex criminal and fraudulent activities” said Dave Ashton, Director of Operations and Training at GIS.

The Analytical Investigation Analysis (AIM) Course is also articulated with the Criminal Intelligence Program of Queensland University of Technology and so students who complete this one week course qualify for credit recognition at this tertiary institution.
