Police investigate dogs death

Police are investigating an incident involving a 6 year old Greyhound dog being killed at about 10.30-10.45 am on Sunday 28 march 2010. 

The dog had managed to escape from it's owners property when a gate was
inadvertantly left open and the dog was only missing for a few minutes before it was found 500 m away
in Aldershot Street near Wainoni Park. The dog had suffered a severe blunt force
trauma to its head causing its death. There was no evidence of the dog being hit by a vehicle.
