The Food Show, Wellington’s annual gourmet gathering, returns in 2010 with a unique mix of local and international, artisan and boutique, fabulous and delightful food and drink.
You won’t find a greater range of taste sensations showcased ready to try and buy – and all in one place! And while you’re at the show, take a moment between sips and nibbles to meet the people behind the food, many of whom will be on-hand to chat and pass on their inside knowledge.
Try some of the heavenly, handmade chocolates from Butler’s Chocolate Café. Or if you’re really brave, why not fire things up with Orcona chillies and peppers? Then wash them down with natural, New Zealand-made cocktails from Ice Republic, or honey liqueurs from Alchemy Beverages.
The Food Show 2010 also gets you up close and personal with contestants – and the winner – from the hot TV cook-off MasterChef New Zealand. And while you’re there hobnobbing with the stars, why not pick up an exclusive MasterChef apron at the same time?
The Food Show comes to the rescue of the ‘wine challenged’ with expert guidance from top wine producers on what wine goes with what food. You’ll discover new flavours and wine matches you never imagined.
Meanwhile, the Electrolux Cooking Theatre will be running hot with cooking demonstrations and workshops featuring some of our most celebrated chefs, including Richard Till, Ray McVinnie, Ross Burden, Peta Mathias, Annabelle White, and others. Learn how to cook like a pro and go home brimming with new dinner party recipes, tips, and strategies.
If you haven’t yet experienced the Food Show, put it on your ‘must do’ list for 2010. Online ticket sales for The Food Show Wellington will be available from 16 April.
