Police investigate death in Fielding

Fielding Police are currently investigating the death of a male after he was struck a train at approximately 9pm on the 23rd May 2010.

A North bound freight train has rounded a bend on the railway tracks near the Maewa Station and struck the male who was lying between the tracks.

The identity of the male has yet to be established and Police are conducting a number of enquiries to ascertain who this person was.

POLICE WOULD LIKE TO HEAR FROM ANYONE WHO MAY HAVE ANY INFORMATION RELATING TO THIS DEATH OR THE IDENTITY OF THE MALE.
