Pedestrian dies after crash

At approximately 11:58 pm Wednesday 3 June 2010 police attended the scene of a fatal collision in London Street, Hampden (SH1), where a truck collided with a pedestrian. The male pedestrian died at the scene.

Emergency services attended the crash and SH 1 has been closed. Detours have been put in place.

Police from Hampden and Oamaru attended the crash. Investigations into the cause of the crash are continuing. Victim support are assisting the police providing support for the family and people involved in the crash.
