Buses free on Saturday - World Environment Day

Rotorua’s Cityride/Eke Taone bus service is offering unlimited free travel for all passengers on Saturday 5 June to mark World Environment Day. All 10 Cityride routes will be free for passengers.

Environment Bay of Plenty (EBOP) Transport Committee chairman Andrew von Dadelszen said World Environment Day aimed to be a global day for positive environmental action.

“By offering free travel on this day we’re giving people a simple opportunity to see how easy and convenient it can be to choose sustainable transport options,” said EBOP Councillor von Dadelszen.
