COROMANDEL

Motorists are strongly advised to seek alternative routes, due to severe flooding along Manaia Rd., Manaia in the Thames-Coromandel District.
Particularly affected is the stretch from the one-lane bridge at Marae Rd to Goldfields Rd, which is under half a metre of water. This situation will get worse with the incoming tide and heavy rain.
Transit NZ will be placing signage at Tararu, north of Thames to stop traffic travelling to the flooded area then having to turn back.
