Man dead after car crashes through house

At approximately 1.05pm, a vehicle travelling on East Coast Road in Northcross left the road and drove into a house, the impact resulting in the vehicle going through a wall of the house and hitting an elderly male resident inside the house who died at the scene. The male driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital but his injuries are not considered to be life threatening.

Police are investigating the circumstances of the crash. No further details of the deceased will be released until next of kin have been notified.
