Jet boat accident - Darfield

Police Search and Rescue staff and the Rescue Helicopter were called to an incident in the Waimakariri River near Darfield around 5.45pm this evening where a jet boat had flipped over. There were three occupants on board and one was initially swept away.

All three occupants made it to safety. Police have spoken to all of the occupants and have confirmed no one is out standing.
