Escape - Waikeria Prison

Waikato Police are warning the public not to approach a man on the run following an escape from Waikeria prison overnight.

Paul Kyle Peekay REHUA, escaped from a medium security unit at the prison, located south of Te Awamutu, between midnight and 6.00am.

Described as a Male Maori 176cm cm tall of thin to medium build with short dark hair, clean shaven with a moustache and a medium, it is not known what REHUA was wearing at the time of his escape.

REHUA has an extensive criminal history and has links to the Waikato and Te Awamutu area's

The public are urged not to approach REHUA but report his whereabouts to the nearest Police station or ring 111.
