Crash - SH2, Pukehina

At 12:20 this afternoon a vehicle travelling along SH2 Pukehina, in the vicinity of the Otamarakau Marae lost control, left the road and ended up in a paddock adjacent to SH2.

It was initially thought there were five occupants one adult and four children, it has now been discovered there was a sixth person in the vehicle.

The adult and one child are in a serious condition the other three children are injured but their status is unknown.

There is no information at the time of this release on the age, gender and injuries of the sixth person.

The rescue helicopter will be transporting from the scene. Emergency services are in attendance and the Police Serious Crash Unit is on their way to the scene. Road closures will be in effect but at the time of this release the locations are not known. No further information is available.
