Slip closes road in Bay of Plenty

Police advise that as a result of a land-slip, SH35 is blocked off to traffic travelling in both directions. The location is in Maraenui Hill where the highway intersects with Motu Rd.

Its anticipated that the closure will be for two to three hours before it will reopen. This release will be updated then.

Travellers using this main arterial way are requested to avoid this area in the meantime.
