Concerns grow for missing Lower Hutt man

Lower Hutt Police are investigating the disappearance of 45 year old Francis (Frank) De Jong from the Lower Hutt area.

Mr De Jong was last seen in the Lower Hutt CBD on the afternoon of Tuesday the 6th July 2010.

He is described as a European male, solid build with brown hair and may have a beard now. He has distinctive medieval type tattoos on his upper arms.

Detective Mike Tohill of the Lower Hutt Police says Mr De Jong may be driving a silver 1996 Toyota Hiace van, registration UK1860. This van has the words 'Satisfaction Guaranteed' written in red on the rear panel. He has contacts in the Lower Hutt and Christchurch areas.

"We have concerns for Mr De Jong's emotional state and wellbeing as he has not made contact with his family since the 6th July 2010."
