FEILDING

Police investigating the death of Scott Guy in Feilding have identified the woman giving away puppies in Palmerston North.

On Friday (23 July) details were released of the woman seen in Warehouse car park in Palmerston North trying to give away chocolate Labrador puppies.

That woman has now come forward and the puppies she had were not Labradors. She has been eliminated from the inquiry but Police still want to hear from anyone with information about the three Labrador puppies missing from the property of Scott and Kylee Guy.

Police are now trying to identify the drivers of two vehicles seen on the morning of Scott's death in the Aorangi Road area.

No detailed descriptions of the vehicles are available, but they were both seen driving along Aorangi Road toward Campbell Road, away from the location of Scott's home between 4.30am and 5am on Thursday, 8 July. The two vehicles were seen separately during this half hour period.

An extensive area canvass has now been completed and road checks were held during the relevant times one week after Scott's death, but the drivers of these vehicles have not been identified. Police want to hear from anyone who was travelling down Aorangi Road on Thursday, 8 July between 4.30am and 5am so that these drivers can be eliminated from the inquiry.

Detective Inspector Sue Schwalger said: "There's been a positive response in respect of puppies but I still want to hear from anyone who has information about the puppies missing from Scott's property. It is important that we either establish or eliminate any link to Scott's death."
