Chartered Accountancy firm BDO Waikato celebrates the admission of a new Partner Steven Stark to the firm this week, bringing the number of partners in the Waikato firm to three.

BDO Waikato Managing Partner Bernard Lamusse says the appointment reflects the BDO commitment to better serve its clients and community and BDO Waikato’s focus on ensuring its breadth of services meets the future demands of Waikato’s business community.

“As a firm, we are committed to providing the best advice to the clients we work with,” says Mr Lamusse. “To deliver on this we must ensure we have people within our firm who can provide solutions to the challenges faced by business, and to assist our clients in identifying opportunities for growth.”

Steven Stark, aged 34, becomes a partner on 1 August 2010. A specialist in Business and Transaction Advisory Services he has considerable experience in assisting SME clients to buy or sell businesses, including business valuations; as well as working with clients to formulate effective business strategy.

He’s also an excellent role model for success having been one of the world’s youngest McDonald’s franchisees, at just 23, prior to training as a Chartered Accountant.

Steve also enjoys his role as a volunteer business mentor with Business Mentors New Zealand. He is engaged to Jennie, and has two daughters – Tayler (11) and Ericka (8)
