Wanaka Rape

The Wanaka Police are investigating a complaint of rape made this morning (14 August 2010) by a 21 year old visitor to the town.

The three alleged offenders were known to the victim and have been spoken to by Police today.

Detective Dave Evans of the Wanaka Police said that there have been no arrests in relation to this complaint at this stage.

He would like to hear from anyone who was in the vicinity of the Lake Wanaka Villas in the Heritage Park off Orchard Road between 3.oo am and 5.oo am on Saturday morning 14 August who heard or anything unusual.
