The Dunedin City Council’s Parking Review Working Party has tweaked the parking regime in the centre of Dunedin following further consultation.

The $5 a day parking area on the edge of the CBD has been expanded to take in the upper part of View Street, all of Gowland Street and Ethel McMillan Place, and a part of Castle Street.

The attached map shows the new layout of paid parking zones, with the areas in red the $1 an hour, $5 all day parking areas.

The changes were made in response to low occupancy in those areas.

Some further changes are yet to be made in the St Andrew Street block between Filleul Street and George Street after consultation with business owners in the block is completed.
