In response to the Christchurch earthquake, Lonely Planet is featuring advice and additional resources on its lonelyplanet.com website to assist travellers to New Zealand.
A dedicated branch on the website’s online bulletin board, the Thorn Tree, has been established to provide a forum for the online travel community to post questions and share updates on the situation (e.g.“How will the earthquake affect my visit to NZ?”, “What damage has been sustained?”):
