WHANGAREI

Over the next fortnight, Whangarei will be the port of call for four Navy ships undergoing training and surveying in the Northland area.

Diving Tender, HMNZS MANAWANUI will take a welcome break from surveying tasks in the Bream Bay area when she visits Whangarei from Friday 7 to Monday 10 September.

The following week, Patrol Craft HMNZ Ships KIWI, WAKAKURA and KAHU, will take time out from a fortnight of Officer of the Watch Training (ship driving and manoeuvring skills) when they make a port visit from Friday 14 to Monday 17 September.

The ships will not be open to the public during these visits.
