Cure Kids, in association with Paper Plus Group, is bringing back Red Nose Day – bigger and better than ever before – with the aim of raising $1 million to help fund research into life-threatening childhood illnesses affecting Kiwi kids.

Cure Kids’ goal is to reach every Kiwi in the land and create a sea of red come November 19th through the sale of red noses, badges, wristbands, car noses and Cadbury’s Jaffas, all available from Paper Plus and Take Note stores and Shell service stations from November 1st.

Vicki Lee, Chief Executive Officer, Cure Kids says: “Cure Kids Red Nose Day is a chance for New Zealanders to come together to raise money for a great cause that makes a real difference to the lives of Kiwi families. All funds raised through Cure Kids Red Nose Day will be put towards funding vital medical research into all illnesses affecting Kiwi kids.

“I’ve had the privilege of meeting New Zealand children bravely living with conditions such as childhood cancer, type 1 diabetes, cystic fibrosis, brain tumours, severe asthma, inherited heart disease, and bone and birth abnormalities. Cure Kids aims to improve the health of children through research and its outcomes.”

Cure Kids is also encouraging all New Zealanders to get behind Cure Kids Red Nose Day local fundraising activities organised by its partners Paper Plus Group, Cadbury, Greenstone Energy (through its network of Shell branded service stations) and Rotary in New Zealand. Activities taking place throughout the month of November include a School Art Competition and family fun day, culminating in a nationwide morning tea and street collection on Red Nose Day, the 19th November.

Rob Smith, CEO, Paper Plus Group added: “We all fondly remember Red Nose Day and Paper Plus Group is very excited to be part of bringing it back. Our stores up and down the country have great fundraising activities planned throughout November, so watch this space for more details! We are committed to help Cure Kids hit its $1 million fundraising target, with 100 per cent of the purchase price of Red Nose merchandise sold through our stores going to Cure Kids.

“We encourage all New Zealanders to get behind Cure Kids Red Nose Day and turn New Zealand red on the 19th November so that Cure Kids can continue to fund life-saving research into childhood illnesses and turn research into hope for Kiwi kids.”
