ASICS to continue supporting ANZ Championship for next three years

ASICS have re-signed with the ANZ Championship as the competition’s Official Footwear Supplier for the next three years.

Under the renewed agreement, ANZ Championship players and umpires will be provided with ASICS footwear throughout seasons 2011, 2012 and 2013.

ASICS were a founding sponsor of the ANZ Championship, which has rapidly developed in to one of the world’s premier women’s sporting leagues since its inception in 2008.

ASICS Marketing Manager Sam Chew said, “ASICS has been a sponsor of netball for over 15 years and we are delighted to continue supporting the number one women’s sport in Australasia.

“We are proud to have played a part in increasing the profile of netball and I look forward to continue growing with the ANZ Championship.

“The players are fantastic role models in the community and a true embodiment of our brand slogan ‘Sound Mind Sound Body’”, said Chew.

Today’s announcement follows the recent news that ANZ has renewed its sponsorship of the competition for the next three years.

When the league was established in 2008, agreements were based on an initial three year development phase. Further sponsorship announcements are expected over the coming weeks.
