HAMILTON

Top performers from the US urban music scene are to perform at an epic seven hour
concert at Hamilton’s Waikato Stadium in December.

Hamilton will play host to multi-Grammy Award winning performers Ludacris, T-PAIN
and Kelly Rowland, each considered superstars in their genre.

They are the headline acts in the first annual Boom Tunz hip hop and R&B
extravaganza at Waikato Stadium on Saturday 11 December, and in Wellington the
next day.

“Attracting stars of such calibre is a major coup for the city, and lifts the bar from what
we’ve seen in the past,” said Event Facilities business development and marketing
director Murray Jeffrey.

Hamilton is well positioned to host the concert being within easy travelling distance for
the massive number of hip hop and R&B fans in Auckland. The event is expected to
have strong appeal in the Bay of Plenty and Waikato regions.

Support acts include legendary Jamaican reggae band Third World and British Island
rising star Iyaz, with top local acts J. Williams, Erakah, DJ CXL and K.one completing
the line-up.

The concert is being brought to Hamilton by promoters BOOM Productions.

Tickets for Boom Tunz go on sale on Monday 4 October and can be purchased through
