Rock n Roll meets Couture at the Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards

International Singing Sensation Gin Wigmore is set to dazzle in iconic New Zealand Fashion Designer Trelise Cooper at the 45th Annual Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards held tonight, October 7 at Auckland’s Vector Arena.

Trelise Cooper has designed two one-off dresses for the talented singer, who has been nominated for six awards at the annual event. A glamorous cocktail dress will be worn on the Red carpet, while an elaborate couture piece will be worn for her on-stage performance.

Four hundred metres of hand beaded lace were used in the creation of the on-stage outfit, which took approximately one hundred hours to put together.

Trelise is thrilled to be dressing Gin, an artist whom she greatly admires. “I am thrilled and delighted to be dressing Gin. I have listened to her music from the very beginning and we always have it on in the design room for inspiration.”

Gin is nominated for six awards at the Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards, including Vodafone Album of the Year for debut album ‘Holy Smoke’ and Vodafone Single of the Year for hit ‘Oh My’.
