The Subway-Avanti Pro Cycling team are focused on a win in this Saturday’s final round of the Benchmark Homes Series, the 142 kilometre KPMG Oxford Grand Prix.

Team Manager Hayden Godfrey said it was disappointing the team are not in line for the overall series team or individual win, but are keen to make their mark on final round being held on the North Canterbury roads near Oxford and Rangiora.

“We have not reached our own high expectations during the series but are focused on a team and individual win this Saturday,” he said.

Nick Lovegrove has been in good recent form winning the latest round of the National Points Series, the Round the Mountain Cycle Classic in Taranaki and Sam Horgan won the recent BRT Canterbury Open 100 kilometre champs.

Last month Joe Cooper won the Air France Tour of New Caledonia where he was well supported by Lovegrove who finished 14th and James Williamson performed well in Tour of the Murray River in Australia and then won the tough Selwyn “Hell of the South” Benchmark Series last month.

The Subway-Avanti team for the Benchmark Homes KPMG Oxford Grand Prix is:
Joe Cooper, Nick Lovegrove, James Williamson, Sam Horgan and Ryan Wills
