Christchurch International Airport Limited (CIAL) is one of five finalists for the Crombie Lockwood Best Annual Report by a Corporate Organisation award.
“This award recognises quality of reporting in New Zealand and we’re delighted to be rated amongst the best in our efforts,” said CIAL Chief Executive Jim Boult. “CIAL is owned by the people of Christchurch and the government, and we want them to understand what we’re doing, how we’re doing it and what our strategy is.”
The theme of the CIAL Annual Report is “building for the next generation” and features children and young people in various airport settings. “Our theme reflects the importance of all the projects being undertaken at the moment, from the construction of the new terminal to the innovative theming and branding throughout the terminal which showcases the South Island,” said Mr Boult. “Our focus as a business is to bring visitors to Christchurch, the tourism gateway for New Zealand, and to build a strong asset for the region.”
The report was designed by G&A Nelson, an award-winning design and advertising firm in Christchurch.
The other finalists are Telecom New Zealand, the New Zealand Refining Company, Zespri, Malborough Lines and Auckland International Airport. CIAL was also a finalist for the award last year, and won for a different category in 2008.
The awards are judged by the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants. The winner of the award will be announced at the 2010 NZICA Leadership Awards Dinner on 30 November at the Sky City Convention Centre in Auckland.
