Cure Kids Red Nose Day is coming back on 19 November, and from 1 November Kiwis can start getting ready by picking up their red nose items. Well known New Zealanders have been getting behind Cure Kids Red Nose Day by donning noses to show their support – getting silly for a good cause and Cure Kids is hoping the rest of New Zealand will follow suit.

Cure Kids, in association with Paper Plus Group, aims to raise $1 million with Red Nose Day to help fund research into life-threatening childhood illnesses affecting Kiwi kids.

Red noses, badges, wristbands, car noses and Cadbury Jaffas will be available from 1 November in Paper Plus and Take Note stores and Shell service stations across the country, and Cure Kids is calling on all New Zealanders to ‘get red’ and help them reach this ambitious target.

What’s more, Anika Moa’s re-release of the official Red Nose Day song, You Make the Whole World Smile, can be bought online through iTunes, www.theinsong.co.nz, Telecom’s Mobile Store and Vodafone Play with all proceeds going to Cure Kids.

Vicki Lee, Chief Executive Officer, Cure Kids says: “Red Nose Day is the perfect opportunity to get a bit silly for a serious cause. We’re calling on all Kiwis to pick-up a red nose, badge, wristband or car nose and to post a photo of themselves on our Facebook page to show their support.

“We’re also hoping to take Anika’s version of our Red Nose Day song You make the whole world smile to number one so need as many people as possible to download the song this month to help us achieve this.

“Kiwis have always got behind Red Nose Day in the past, and we are hoping the same will be true this year. New Zealand’s support of Red Nose Day will help Cure Kids to improve the health of children through research and its outcomes so let’s turn the country into a sea of red noses!”
