The second day of the Gillette Cup got underway at 10.30 this morning in Palmerston North

John McGlashan College won the toss and decided to bat against Hutt International Boy’s School. Both were defeated yesterday and will be looking to turn their form around.

Hamilton Boys’ High School also won the toss and elected to bat against last year’s champions Christchurch Boys’ High School. Both teams won their games yesterday and there will be pressure on each team to secure another four points today.

King’s College from Auckland square off against Palmerston North Boys’ today. King’s won the toss and elected to bat.

King’s, Christchurch Boys’ and Hamilton are currently all on four points after one round of pool play.

Currently they weather is fine in the city and a full day’s play is expected.
