Fatal crash - SH30 HoroHoro

Rotorua police are investigating the circumstances leading up to a fatal Road crash today.

Shortly after 8am this morning police attended a crash at Horohoro involving a truck on SH30 between Upper Atiamuri (SH1) and SH5.

It appears the driver became trapped in the cab and died as a result of injuries sustained. Traffic in both directions is diverted onto Whirinaki Valley road onto Nicholson road to SH30.

Serious crash investigators are attending the scene.

Next of kin are yet to be notified and informed.
