The Yahoo!Xtra Northern Knights selectors have made one change to the squad that defeated the Auckland Aces inside three days in the fifth round of the Plunket Shield.
Ahead of their round six clash against the Wellington Firebirds in Whangarei, now due to start on Monday after rescheduling designed to accommodate the quake-affected Canterbury Wizards games, the Knights have released batsman Brook Hatwell to play for the Northern Districts A team against their Auckland counterparts. Hatwell was 12th man against the Aces and made his first-class debut in the previous match against the Stags.
Contracted players Joey Yovich and Anurag Verma were not considered due to injury. Yovich has had a recurrence of a thumb injury that sees him sitting out all cricket for a week on specialist's advice, while Verma remains out for the remainder of the season with an abdominal injury.
The Yahoo!Xtra Northern Knights squad for round six of the Plunket Shield is:
James Marshall, captain, Northland
Graeme Aldridge, BOP
Brent Arnel, Counties Manukau
Jono Boult, BOP
Trent Boult, BOP
Jason Donnelly, BOP
Daniel Flynn, BOP
Hamish Marshall, Overseas Player
Andy Mathieson, Hamilton
Pete McGlashan, Counties Manukau
BJ Watling, Hamilton
Brad Wilson, Northland
