CHRISTCHURCH

Due to the number of road closures and cordons in place in the Christchurch central city area, the suggested route to get to the Vehicle Recovery team in Hagley Park is:

  • From Moorhouse Ave into Montreal St
  • From Montreal St, left in Cashel St
  • From Cashel St, right into Rolleston Ave and drive past Museum
  • From Rolleston Ave, left over Armagh Bridge on Armagh St
  • Into Hagley Park

Over the coming days, the Vehicle Recovery Operation will progressively retrieve cars from streets, public spaces and private and underground carparks. If you still have a car in the central city area and you haven't already registered and given your keys to Police, please do so as soon as possible.

Vehicle owners should bring car keys, reasonable proof of ownership and some photo identification, such as a drivers licence, to the Vehicle Recovery Team located at the Armagh St entrance to Hagley Park. They will be asked to fill out a registration form, including contact details - vehicle owners will be contacted once the vehicle has been retrieved.

The team will be available between 7am and 8pm on Thursday, 7am and 8pm on Friday, and 7am and 8pm on Saturday and Sunday.
