Possible missing person - Rimutaka Forest Park

Police are trying to identify the owner of a horse that has been found wandering in an area off Coast Road in Rimutaka Forest Park (Lower Hutt).

A local resident found the rider-less horse at approximately 2.30pm this afternoon.

The horse has a saddle and bridle on it - and Police are concerned the rider has fallen from the horse and has not been able to call for help.

Anyone with any knowledge of who the horse may belong to is asked to call Police as soon as possible.
