Info wanted re Invercargill incident

INVERCARGILL

Two 15 year old male youths have been arrested after running away from a CYFS home in Dunedin and hitchhiking to Invercargill in the earlier hours of Saturday morning. On there travels to Invercargill it is believed they have committed a mini crime wave including a burglary just outside Balclutha where alcohol and food was stolen.

On arriving in Invercargill they were involved in an incident at H & J Smiths Store as well as assaulting a young male waiting to cross an inner city street in an unprovoked assault. The two youths have proceeded to kick vehicles and property along Tay and Kelvin Streets before been appended by Police around 10.30am.

Police would like to hear from any persons who witnessed the youths assaulting the male or the youths damaging vehicles or property in the Tay Kelvin Streets area.
