Aggravated Robbery In Constellation Drive

North Shore CIB is investigating an aggravated robbery in Constellation Drive, Mairangi Bay.

At around 11am on Tuesday 10 May 2011 the driver of a stolen red Honda Stream has reversed into Wendy's car park on Constellation Drive, Mairangi Bay. Police believe a driver and passenger were in this car.

A male occupant of this vehicle has waited for an Armourguard security guard to leave Wendy's. The male exited the vehicle with a firearm and his face covered by what is believed to be a balaclava.

This male has threatened the security guard with the firearm and an unknown amount of money was taken.

There were no injuries throughout this entire incident.

This male has entered the stolen vehicle and travelled out the car park and turned left onto Constellation Drive, Mairangi Bay. The vehicle was located by Police a short time later, one street away, parked at the end of Atlas Place. It is believed there were possibly two other vehicles waiting for the offenders who immediately left the area.

The person carrying the firearm is described as a Male in his twenties, around 5ft 7" tall, medium build, and wearing a loose fitting jacket and pants. Police are continuing to speak to witnesses from the robbery scene and the area where the stolen car was dumped.

The vehicle was stolen the day before from the Auckland suburb of Greenlane.
