More changes to Metro bus services from Monday, May 16, 2011

A number of changes to Metro services and timetables take effect from Monday, May 16 reflecting the improvement of some roads. These services include the 3 Airport - Sumner via Avonhead, 10 Cashmere and 28 Lyttelton and Rapaki.

3 Airport - Sumner via Avonhead
· service will return to a through route. Those who use the Sumner end of the service will have a revised schedule.
10 Cashmere
· has additional trips from Cashmere to Parkside on weekday mornings.
28 Lyttelton and Rapaki
· has a revised schedule with buses providing a timely connection with the Diamond Harbour Ferry. Also limited trips will now extend their route to Rapaki.
Metrostar
· will return to its normal route along Bassett St. It will no longer travel via Travis and New Brighton Roads.

There will also be slight adjustments to the routes for the 7 Queenspark, 14 Harewood, 16 Belfast, 45 North Shore, 46 Marshland and 60 Parklands as they depart the Bealey Ave terminus, on outbound trips. These services will no longer loop via Papanui Rd, St Albans St and Springfield Rd.

14 Harewood and 16 Belfast will now loop around Bealey Ave, Park Tce, Salisbury St and Colombo St on outbound trips.

Similarly, 7 Queenspark, 45 North Shore, 46 Marshland and 60 Parklands will loop around Bealey Ave, Park Tce, Salisbury St and Manchester St, on outbound trips, before turning right back on to Bealey Ave.
