The case of Brett Hall, who disappeared from his Whanganui River lifestyle block at the end of May, is to feature on the TV crime show Police Ten-7 this week.

Mr Hall was last seen over the weekend of Friday, 27 May to Sunday, 29 May at the Pitangi Track property where he was building a house. An intensive 12 day search around his property gave no indication as to his whereabouts and led to increasing concerns that his disappearance was sinister.

A team of about 30 detectives and police staff are currently working on the homicide investigation.

Tomorrow night (Thursday, 16 June) at 7,30pm on TV2, Police Ten-7 will make an appeal for information on the programme's Crime Of The Week segment.

Detective Senior Sergeant David Kirby said: "We know that Brett had a chequered past and we know that a number of his friends and associates have also come to police attention. Police Ten-7 attracts a wide audience including the criminal fraternity so it is a useful tool for us to try to elicit information which will tell us what happened to him."

Police are also issuing a photo showing the caravan Mr Hall was staying in on the property, his shed and his Toyota Hilux ute.

"If anyone who has visited Mr Hall's property notices anything out of character or out of place in the photo we want to hear from them," said Detective Senior Sergeant Kirby.
