Carlson is forecasting a heat wave of vibrant colour and hot poolside glamour this Spring Summer 11/12.
Drawing inspiration from the tempo of the ‘70s, Carlson’s new collection is a kaleidoscope of bold prints, sensual fabrications and super-feminine shapes.
Floor skimming sand-washed silk skirts in sunflower and Mediterranean blue epitomise summertime cool while the tones of a striking abstract print crafted into the sexiest of halter-neck maxis are reminiscent of a burning hot sunset.
The sexy tale continues with Ultra-suede button-through skirts and classic shorts available in midnight, claret and sunflower.
Carlson’s bold though typically feminine take on warm weather style draws from an earlier vintage of glamour too. A stunning cocktail dress in geranium or admiral blue taffeta is a classic 1950s silhouette and nautical stripes appearing elsewhere in the collection hint at an era of fashionable seaside outings on the promenade.
Guipure lace dresses, camisoles and dancing shorts in vanilla and black bridge the gap between seemingly incongruous decades, as do playful leaf-print knee-skimming dresses and circle skirts.
Beautiful suiting options in grey, midnight, oyster pink and black tones are definite wardrobe staples while the soft suiting story featuring a double-breasted tuxedo-inspired jacked in either pearl or midnight is set to become Carlson’s newest classic.
