Fatal crash near Turakina

Police are currently investigating a fatal crash which occurred at approximately 9.15pm on State Highway 3 near Turakina.

Early indications are that 2 vehicles were involved, with one male killed instantly at the scene.

The crash occurred approximately 1 kilometre North of the Turakina township - and the road has been closed to allow emergency services to clear the scene. The road is expected to be closed for several hours and diversions will be put in place.
