Feilding Police has released the name of a woman who died yesterday when her car crashed down a bank and into a tree.

She was Mrs Margaret Patricia Hirst, aged 59 years, of Halcombe.

A passing motorist on Halcombe Road spotted the wreckage about 1.30pm and alerted emergency services.
