Rotorua Museum will resonate with the soulful and smooth playing style of jazz pianist David Alexander on Thursday [14 July] at 7pm as part of its Concert at the Museum Series.

David Alexander, Rotorua jazz man and Radio DJ, has made a name for himself as one of New Zealand’s foremost jazz pianists.

Having been compared to the great Ray Charles, his sultry voice and superb piano technique will ensure that this concert will be a toe-tapping evening for music lovers of all ages.

The event will also feature Sayaka Hughes, an up-and-coming local pianist from John Paul College, who will perform her Associate of Trinity College London (ATCL) programme.

To complete the evening, Alayna Powley from Western Heights High School will perform songs that made her a national song writing finalist.

Bring your friends and family for another great Concert at the Museum. The Bathhouse Café will be open from 6.30pm for refreshments prior to the concert and during intermission.

Tickets available at Rotorua Museum and on the door. Purchase tickets in advance to avoid disappointment.

Tickets: Adult $15, Students/Concession $12, Children (5-15) $5.

Concert at the Museum is proudly sponsored and supported by the Civic Arts Trust.
