Party in Pakuranga

Counties Manukau Police were called to a party in Pakuranga at about 11.10pm on 29th July after a report of an altercation out on the street.

Upon arrival an 18 year old male was found deceased in the middle of the road, witnesses were still trying to administer first aid. The area is still cordoned off as the deceased is still at the scene pending a scene examination in the daylight.

Police are speaking with party goers to establish exactly what occurred. Police stated that a preliminary examination of the deceased identified a number of stab wounds.

Detective Senior Sergeant Dave GLOSSOP said Police have notified the deceased's immediate family but were giving them time to advise other family members and need to conduct a formal identification before his name could be released .
