Police attended at an address in Birkdale Rd, Birkdale about after receiving reports about a strong chemical smell coming from an address.

The address and some of the neighbouring addresses were evacuated after police located a clandestine laboratory being used for the manufacture of methamphetamine.

The clanlab team and ESR scientists are examining the scene and the occupants of the address are assisting police with their enquiries.
