Water Supply Shutdown Planned in Opononi on Wednesday

Opononi households connected to the Far North District Council’s water supply will be without water for about an hour on Wednesday (August 31).

Council contractor Transfield Services plans to carry out essential maintenance to a faulty fire hydrant near the fire station between about 3pm and 4pm.

This will necessitate a shutdown of the water supply to about 100 households while the work is carried out.

The council apologises to households who are inconvenienced by the shutdown.
