Taupō’s water main on Lake Terrace will be shut down on Monday 5 September until Tuesday 6 September for enabling works for the new building. Residents in Taupō township are asked to please conserve water on those days.

During this period Taupō township will rely on water stored in the reservoirs. Water will still be available to homes and businesses as usual and water pressure will not be affected; however residents are requested to conserve water during this period and to refrain from using any irrigation.

The reconfiguration of pumps and pipe work in the existing Lake Terrace Water Treatment Plant is required as part of the enabling works prior to the construction of the new water treatment plant building.
