Members of the media are invited to attend a preview screening of a new DVD where Councillors explain their vision and 30 year plan for the city.
The media screening will be held at 12.10pm on Monday 19 September in the Council Chamber. Lunch will be provided.
A further seven public screenings and a Chamber of Commerce screening will be held in the Council Chamber throughout the week. There will also be one public screening in Bluff at 7.30pm on Thursday 22 September in the St John Ambulance Hall, Lee Street.
Screenings have been planned for lunch times, after work and in the evening to fit in with people’s varying schedules.
The screenings will be hosted by Mayor Tim Shadbolt, or Deputy Mayor Jackie Kruger, who will introduce the DVD, which has a run time of 25 minutes.
Titled Invercargill: The Big Picture, the DVD includes all of the City Councillors speaking about their portfolio areas and relating these to proposed planning and development of the city for the next 30 years.
